Carbon Poker Reduce Freeroll Tournament Schedule

March 27, 2009

carbon-poker-logoCarbon Poker today released an email to all its members informing them that they will be reducing the amount of freerolls offered.

But don’t panic…

Carbon Poker are not just reducing the amount of freerolls offered but instead are offering more high prize pool tournaments in their place.

The email annoucement reveals that the site are set to offer $50,000 guarenteed tournaments weekly, encouraging players to player real money accounts.

Carbon Poker don’t want players who enjoyed playing freerolls to feel that the site is moving away from their favoured tournaments, assuring players that there will be still a number of freeroll tournaments open to players, based on the players VIP level.

This move has offered players a greater chance of prizing when playing their freerolls by restricting tournaments to set VIP levels, meaning that players will be better matched, reducing the number of all in every hand ‘donkeys’ that hinder the freeroll name.

Players that currently possess tournament coupons or tokens will have them exchanged for tokens that can be used to buy into the new schedule of tournaments that will come with the change.

In my opinion this is a great move on the behalf of Carbon Poker who are trying to make a name for themselves within the industry leaders.

Offering huge $50,000 prize pools on a weekly basis is sure to attract the attention of some of the top players online who currently play at a number of different sites.
